Tanjungsari Village, July 4–6, 2026 – The Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN) in Tanjungsari Village continued through a series of activities involving students, local residents, village officials, and Field Supervisors (Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan/DPL). During the first week of July 2026, KKN students participated in a Field Supervisor visit, a morning exercise session with local residents, and an observation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as part of efforts to develop community-oriented programs.

Field Supervisor Visit and Student Consultation

The series of activities began with a visit from the KKN Field Supervisors on Saturday, July 4, 2026. Dr. Fadjar Hari Mardiansjah, S.T., MDP., and Pangi, S.T., M.T., visited the students’ KKN post in the afternoon.

The visit provided an opportunity for students to evaluate their experiences and discuss their situation after approximately one week of KKN implementation following their deployment on June 26, 2026. The discussion was led by Dr. Fadjar Hari Mardiansjah, S.T., MDP., who began the forum by inviting students to share their experiences interacting with the local community.

The students delivered positive feedback regarding their experience in Tanjungsari Village. They received a warm welcome from local residents, had opportunities to participate in various community activities, and found their living arrangements comfortable throughout the KKN program.

The students were then given the opportunity to ask questions and consult directly with the Field Supervisors. This session was particularly valuable for discussing the preparation and implementation of their multidisciplinary and monodisciplinary work programs, including how to align the planned activities with the needs and conditions of the local community.

The forum concluded at approximately 5:00 p.m. The Field Supervisors encouraged the students to maintain their health and enthusiasm throughout the KKN program. They also emphasized the importance of maintaining good conduct and upholding the reputation of Universitas Diponegoro while engaging with the community.

Morning Exercise with PKK Women of RT 15

On Sunday, July 5, 2026, the KKN students participated in a morning exercise session with the women of the Family Welfare Empowerment (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga/PKK) group of RT 15. The activity began at 7:30 a.m. and was held at the residence of the RT 15 neighborhood head.

The morning exercise is a routine weekly activity organized by the local PKK women. In addition to promoting physical health and fitness, the activity serves as an opportunity to strengthen social bonds and foster a sense of togetherness among residents.

The exercise session lasted approximately 45 minutes and was followed by an informal gathering where the participants shared snacks and refreshments. The students’ participation reflected their active involvement in the daily social life of the community while also strengthening their relationship with the residents of Tanjungsari Village.

MSME Observation for Development and Assistance

As part of the preparation for a community economic empowerment program, the KKN students conducted an MSME observation on July 6, 2026. The activity began with a meeting with Mrs. Wati, a representative of the village administration who assists local MSME owners.

During the meeting, the students discussed the current conditions and development of MSMEs in Tanjungsari Village. Following the discussion, the students conducted direct observations at two local MSMEs.

The first MSME visited was AL-FADH LELE BOYOLALI, a business specializing in processing catfish into various food products. The business utilizes different parts of the fish to produce products such as catfish chips, shredded catfish, catfish sticks, and other processed foods. The MSME has received certification from the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries for its creative catfish processing activities. Its products are marketed through its own store as well as through consignment arrangements with local shops.

The second MSME observed was Keripik Ibu Pur RT 3, which specializes in producing chips and various traditional dry snacks. The business has already obtained a Business Identification Number (Nomor Induk Berusaha/NIB) but still faces challenges in obtaining a PIRT (Home Industry Food Production Permit). Its products are marketed not only within Tanjungsari Village but also to other areas outside the village, particularly across Central Java.

Based on the observations, the students identified several forms of assistance that could support the development and marketing of these MSMEs. The planned outputs include adding business locations to Google Maps, designing promotional banners, and creating product logos. These initiatives are expected to improve business visibility, strengthen product identity, and make it easier for customers to locate the businesses.

The MSME assistance program is a cross-disciplinary collaboration involving three students from different study programs:

  • Dominikus Dilan Filbert Nathanael – Undergraduate Accounting
  • Sasqi Mutiara – Undergraduate Communication Science
  • Aulia Dwi Rahmayani – Undergraduate Digital Business

This cross-disciplinary collaboration is expected to provide a more comprehensive approach to MSME assistance. Perspectives from accounting, communication, and digital business can be integrated to support MSME development, particularly in business management, branding, and digital marketing.

Strengthening Community Engagement through KKN

The series of activities conducted in early July demonstrates that KKN is not solely focused on implementing student work programs but also on building meaningful relationships and collaboration with the local community. The Field Supervisor visit provided an opportunity for evaluation and consultation, while participation in the morning exercise reflected the students’ active involvement in community life.

Meanwhile, the MSME observation provided students with first-hand insight into the potential and challenges faced by local business owners in Tanjungsari Village. The findings from these observations will serve as a foundation for developing assistance programs that are expected to provide tangible benefits for the growth and development of local MSMEs.

Through these activities, KKN students are expected to apply the knowledge and skills gained during their academic studies while making a meaningful contribution to community empowerment and development in Tanjungsari Village.
